Why Do People Stay In Jobs Where They Aren’t Happy?
Some of the answers to this question are:
Responsibility – Money – Security
Comfort – Convenient
Fear of Failing
It all comes down to FEAR!!
FEAR OF CHANGE – FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN
Until the pain of staying where we are is greater than the pain of change, change typically won’t happen.
Although I have appreciated my myriad of career adventures, when I got to my forties, I felt like something was missing. I wanted to do other things, but ALL of the above reasons kept me stuck. I didn’t have the courage or confidence to risk a known commodity (what I knew I was good at), to explore unknown territories, so I settled.
Then it happened …….
It was like the Universe said, “no more, no more settling; you have been asking for change and NOW is the time.”
A near-fatal accident created the physical pain of staying in my then current job more uncomfortable than the fear of stepping out of my comfort zone into the UNKNOWN.
That’s why people seem to change after an accident, illness or loss. The pain of the current situation creates the space for CHANGE.
Change is inevitable!
Nothing stays the same.
If you want to explore CHANGE and get on the other side of your fears or obstacles in doing something different, join us on October 14th & 15th for an exclusive opportunity (only 20 participants) to discover or unveil your BRILLIANCE.
